While there’s not much value betting on who will win the Ryder Cup, there are some proposition bets that gamblers might find attractive. Several Las Vegas sportsbooks, as well as UK and internet sites are offering props that range from the simple to the exotic.

Daily scores for the three-day competition are popular and offer some value. The bets in these categories range from lines on each day’s scores, or overall results. The scoring margin of the day’s play and the overall result is also available.

The other category is how individual players will perform. Most of the sites have odds on who will be the player with the highest points scored for their respective teams. There are also more extravagant bets on how many points a certain player will get.

Best Team Score Wagers

The first line that fans might want to check out is on the result of the competition. The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook has the USA as a -130, and Europe at +130. While those odds are not great, the one line that might be worth a bet is on the possibility of a draw. The line is +1200, and while it doesn’t happen often, it would pay off well if it occurred.

A dicey bet, but with a better return is predicting the correct score. Paddy Power has the US winning 14.5 to 13.5 as the favorite at 9/1. Europe pulling off a 15 to 13 upset is at 11/1.

If you think the teams are evenly matched and the competition will be tight, then Ladbrookes has a prop bet at 50/1 that the scores will be tied after the first two days, but the US team wins on the final day. If the scores are tied and Europe wins on the final day is 66/1.

Player Props Lean Towards Top Golfers

Dustin Johnson has been the favorite at many tournaments this year, including major championships, so it is no surprise that he is the top pick by oddsmakers to earn the most points for his team. Johnson is at 9/2, followed by Justin Thomas at 11/2. Tiger Woods is at 13/2.

Johnson is playing in his fourth Ryder Cup, but has never played at Paris’ Le Golf National.

“I haven’t played here until I got here Monday, but the golf course is really good,” Johnson said. “I think it’s a really good test of golf. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun these matches.”

On the European side, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose are the favorites to be the top point scorer at 9/2. Spain’s Jon Rahm is next at 6/1.

Fun Bets To Consider

The sportsbooks are also offering more creative wagers for bettors that could be enjoyable to place. Tiger Woods usually seems to attract attention with his own prop bets and the Ryder Cup is no exception.

The first is will he play in all five matches. The line was set at 13/8 at Paddy Power, but has since come down to 2/1. Ladbrokes has one at 66/1 that has Woods earning four points and getting a hole in one.

If you think Rickie Fowler or Paul Casey are going to make an ace, the odds are 150/1.

Another bet with large odds is the biggest margin of any match is 4 and 2, and the US wins the Ryder Cup. The odds on that happening are 100/1.
