With the regular NFL season winding down, we have another full slate of 13 games on Sunday. As usual, I’m digging deep into the roster pool to find us some nice, sub-$5,000 value players in Week 15 DFS, so we can roster the studs in other spots. Here are some players for your consideration this week.
Ronald Jones II or Peyton Barber, Buccaneers RBs, $4,600 & $4,400
It’s take-your-pick week on this selection, as both running backs received 11 carries last week against the Colts. Jones did see more passing targets, if you’re looking for a differentiator between the two. Quarterback Jameis Winston is questionable with a hurt finger, which could mean more focus on the running game in Week 15, especially against a Detroit Lions defense that is one of the worst in the NFL against the run.
Russell Gage, Falcons WR, $5,000
Calvin Ridley will miss the rest of the season with an abdomen injury, opening the door for Gage to see more snaps. Julio Jones is also questionable for Week 15, which could lead to Gage seeing more balls thrown his way this week. He’s already received 41 targets in the six games since Mohamed Sanu was traded to the Patriots.
Darius Slayton, Giants WR, $4,700
Eli Manning is back at starter for New York, and he’s relying on the rookie Slayton, who has four touchdowns in his past four games, and who has averaged 23.4 DFS points per game on DK during that span. The matchup this week is tasty, too, as the Dolphins rank just 28th in the league against opposing wide receivers in DFS.
Breshad Perriman, Buccaneers WR, $4,500
As a contrarian pick to the first selection of Tampa Bay running backs, we can run Perriman, who should see more action with Mike Evans out for the remainder of 2019 with an injured hamstring. The Lions D isn’t great against the pass either, so Winston or a backup may get the ball to Perriman enough to make his $4,500 salary worthwhile.
David Njoku, Browns TE, $4,200
Njoku missed most of the season with a wrist injury and didn’t make a big impact in Week 14 against the Bengals with just one catch for four yards. This week, he’s facing that famously porous Arizona Cardinals defense against tight ends, so he’s worth a shot as one of your Week 15 DFS value plays this week.
