The shift comes one day before Santa Anita plays host to one of the biggest race days on the Southern California track’s calendar. Saturday’s card features six stakes races, including three Grade 1s: the Santa Anita Handicap, Frank E. Kilroe Mile and Beholder Mile. That doesn’t include the Grade 2 San Felipe Stakes, one of the top Kentucky Derby preps in the country.

Also on Saturday’s card is the Grade 2 San Carlos Stakes for sprinters and the Grade 2 Buena Vista Stakes for fillies and mares on turf.

Saturday’s card, running in tandem with sister track Gulfstream Park, is the inaugural 1/ST Saturday. It offers a wealth¬†of betting options for its 15 stakes, including all-dirt and all-turf Pick 5s. It also offers a free entry into a $5 million payout to anyone picking the winners of those 15 stakes races.

Santa Anita Monday forecast: sunny and warm

As for Friday’s rescheduled card, there will be no re-draw. Track officials are simply shifting Friday’s card in its entirety to Monday. Meanwhile,¬†Monday’s weather forecast in Arcadia, Calif., east of Los Angeles, is for sunny skies and a high of 68.

This means both 1/ST Racing California tracks: Santa Anita and Golden Gate Fields, will run concurrently Monday. Golden Gate Fields has a mandatory payout on its 20 cent Single Ticket Rainbow Pick Six Jackpot Monday.
