Are betting strategies legit
Mr Blackjack breaks down the math and bankroll essentials behind betting strategies so you can make smarter choices in your games.
Some of the discussions around progressive betting strategies can be overhyped to the point it comes across as sensational. With some players promising you can beat the casino with their basic betting strategy and walk away with huge jackpots, it's easy to see why so many other players are skeptical around these progressive systems. The truth is, you need to look at the math and your bankroll to see whether these strategies will realistically work for you. I will break down the math behind these strategies and assess what bankroll you need so you don't have to. There are many legitimate betting strategies in the market today. Every strategy is rooted in probabilities to maximize the profits and cap the losses. You will find that some of them only work if the blackjack table has a small minimum and a large maximum. These betting strategies ensure that when the shoe is hot, you make more money because you are increasing your bets rather than betting the same amount on every hand. This is called flat betting. Professionals will never flat bet and will always vary their betting sizes. Let's say the table you are playing at has a minimum bet limit of $10 and a maximum of $100, and you are using Martingale and you are on bet five. Your system will not work as that bet value must be $160. You need a table with no maximum or a $1,000 maximum. If you look for a minimum of $25 tables, you will see the maximum is usually much higher and will allow you to wager a much higher amount. The reason you need this is that the most popular system, the Martingale system, requires consecutively increased wagering to cover your losses. We will explain this in the next video.
