Doug Pederson’s crew is the favorite to win the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys are their closest competition this season. The Cowboys are currently 20/1 odds to win Super Bowl LIV.

In 2018, the Cowboys (10-6) got hot in the second half of the season to run the table in the NFC East and win the division. The Eagles (9-7) were a Wild Card team but they lost Carson Wentz to a fractured back.

Luckily the Eagles had their good luck charm Nick Foles as a backup and they edged out the Bears 16-15. But Foles’ magic finally ran out when the Eagles came up short against the top-seeded New Orleans Saints in the divisional round. The Eagles blew a 14-0 lead against Drew Brees and were bounced from the playoffs.

NFC SUPER BOWL ODDS:
Philadelphia Eagles 14/1
Dallas Cowboys 20/1
NY Giants 80/1
Washington Redskins 100/1

Meanwhile, the NY Giants and the Washington Redskins will be battling for the NFC basement. According to William Hill, only the Miami Dolphins have worst Super Bowl odds than the Skins.

Healthy Wentz Sky’s the Limit?

Carson Wentz played all 16 games as a rookie. He missed the final three games of the 2017 regular season and the playoffs with a blown out knee. Nick Foles came off the bench to lead the Eagles over the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Wentz missed 5 games last season. He missed the first two games of the season while rehabbing his knee post ACL surgery. Wentz also missed the final three games due to a fractured vertebrae. Once again, Nick Foles snapped into action and didn’t blink. Foles won a couple must-win games late in the season to secure the Eagles a berth in the Wild Card.

Can Wentz stay healthy a full season? The Eagles will go as far as Wentz’s health. If he avoids the injury bug and does not incur another bad beat, then the current Super Bowl Odds from Philly offer amazing value.

The Eagles will ride or die with Wentz this season. Unlike the previous two seasons, Doug Pederson does not have Nick Foles to rally the team when Wentz goes down. Foles got paid and deservedly so when he signed an $88 million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The current QB depth chart in Philly includes Northwestern rookie Clayton Thorson and Nate Sudfeld, who has 25 career passing attempts.

DeSean Jackson returns to the Eagles at WR. They also added Jordan Howard at running back and drafted Penn State RB Miles Sanders in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The Super Bowl odds for Philly recently moved from 16/1 to 14/1. Last year’s NFC East champ, Dallas Cowboys, are 20/1 odds with drama heating up due to a holdout from Zeke.
