A Baltimore win combined with a disappointing performance by the New England Patriots has made the Ravens the consensus Super Bowl betting favorites at sportsbooks across the country.
The Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers, 20-17 on a last-second field goal by Justin Tucker, while the Patriots offense struggled yet again in a 28-22 loss to the Texans on Sunday Night Football.
New England, New Orleans Behind Ravens in Super Bowl Betting
Baltimore took over the top spot at the Westgate SuperBook last week, but the Patriots held on as the first choice to win the Super Bowl across most of the industry until last night. Now, with both teams boasting 10-2 records, and the Ravens holding the tiebreaker for the No. 1 seed in the AFC thanks to a 37-20 win over New England a month ago, there’s no question that Baltimore is the team to beat.
At FanDuel Sportsbook, the Ravens are now listed at just +240 to win the Super Bowl, ahead of the Patriots (+380) and New Orleans Saints (+550). William Hill has Baltimore listed at +300 to win the championship, while DraftKings Sportsbook has the Ravens at the top of the board with +250 odds.

This isn’t a sudden sea change, but rather, a gradual move that has been in the works for months. Baltimore is in the midst of an eight-game winning streak, during which they have beaten the Patriots, 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and Houston Texans, all of whom are almost locks to make the playoffs.
Jackson Has Commanding Lead in MVP Race
Quarterback Lamar Jackson has emerged as the leading NFL MVP candidate, with FanDuel making him a -250 favorite in that race. Jackson leads the league with 25 passing touchdowns against just five interceptions, while also running for 977 yards and seven more scores.
Jackson wasn’t at his best on Sunday, when poor weather made for a sloppy game. He threw for just 105 yards and a touchdown, but also rushed for 101 yards and a score on 16 carries, showing that he can lead his team even when not everything is clicking for Baltimore.
“I was throwing passes behind my receivers. It was ticking me off,†Jackson told reporters after the game. “A lot of passes getting away from me. The weather, it messed with me a lot.â€
While Baltimore has been surging, New England has been moving in the opposite direction. The Patriots’ offense has been relatively quiet over the past four weeks, averaging just 18 points per game in that span. While New England grinded out two wins over that period, it’s not a good sign for a team that will have to contend with opponents like Baltimore and Kansas City in the postseason, both of whom have explosive offenses that can put big numbers on the scoreboard.
Brady has expressed frustration at the situation, but has also told fans to keep things in perspective.
“By no means, we’re not 2-10. We’re 10-2,†Brady said Monday on WEEI’s Greg Hill Show. “The expectations for our team often are at a very, very, very high level, and I understand that. But at the same time, I think there’s realistic expectations with our circumstances, incorporating different elements, players, and injuries. Again, we’re just trying to do the best that we can do.â€
