Las Vegas Raiders Go Big with Season Ticket Holder Gift

The season ticket holder gift, mailed to patrons this month, features a replica of Las Vegas’ new Allegiant Stadium and plays the Raiders’ team song, “The Autumn Wind,” when opened. The black box’s top features an outline of the state of Nevada with the Raiders’ shield logo. It reads “Inaugural Season Las Vegas 2020” on the box. Removing the tickets reveals a replica of the field.

One box sold on eBay for $999.99 on Monday, the highest price yet fetched on that website for the item. The seller described the piece as “one of the most awesome pieces of Raiders memorabilia you will ever see.”

Raiders President Marc Badain told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that every season ticket holder to the sold-out 65,000-seat stadium is receiving the commemorative box.

Team owner Mark Davis told the newspaper that local artists and former team quarterback Todd Marinovich painted the images featured on the tickets for each game

No Fans at Raiders Games at Allegiant Stadium in 2020

Although season tickets holders will receive their 2020 tickets, they can’t actually attend the games due to the pandemic. Davis sent an email to those fans saying they can get refunds or apply their 2020 payments to the 2021 season.

“Despite not being able to attend the games in person, you will still receive your collectible 2020 Las Vegas Raiders Inaugural Season Ticket Package, as well as other exclusive items throughout the season,” he wrote.

Allegiant Stadium can expand to seat 72,000 fans for special events, and features an 85-foot torch memorializing former team owner Al Davis.

After opening the season at the Carolina Panthers, the Raiders will face the New Orleans Saints at home on Sept. 21.

Las Vegas sportsbooks don’t have much confidence in the new hometown team. NBC Sports reported that Westgate Sportsbook set the Raiders at 80-1 odds to win the Super Bowl and 40-1 odds to win the AFC West. The Raiders are at +700 to make the playoffs, and their over/under win total is set at six.
