The highlights from Week 4 of the college football season show how some players can take their passion for the game just a little too far. An over-enthusiastic head butt might have cost an assistant coach a concussion, and an ill-timed hurdle resulted in a painful lesson.
That’s Gonna Leave a Mark
When Army offensive lineman Mike Johnson came off the field he was in an excited state. Maybe a little too excited, as far as one assistant coach was concerned.

Johnson greeted the assistant coach with a celebratory head butt. The only problem? He still had his helmet on, and the move dazed the unidentified coach to the point of nearly knocking him out.
He had to be held up by another coach, but Johnson clearly scored a TKO.
Hurdle Loses Serious Style Points
Hurdling over defenders has become popular with offensive players, but freshman running back Bijan Robinson definitely needs to work on his form.

Fortunately, Robinson wasn’t seriously hurt on the gruesome play, walking off the field. He was examined by medical staff on the sidelines, and didn’t return to the game.
Bo Knows Punting
Auburn quarterback Bo Nix is becoming known for his pooch punts as much as he is for leading the Tigers’ offense. The sophomore pulled off a beauty in this week. It occurred in the second quarter of Auburn’s 29-13 victory over Kentucky.

Nix’s punt led to a Kentucky three-and-out. Nix then led Auburn to a nine-play, 76-yard romp, capped off by an 11-yard TD pass to Seth Williams.
Even Better the Second Time
For the second consecutive year, Kansas State shocked Oklahoma. Last year, the Wildcats won 48-41 at home. This year, Kansas State stunned the Sooners again, winning 38-35. Think they were happy?

The No. 3 Sooners were 28-point favorites to win. Kansas State was a +550 on the moneyline.
Look Mom, One Hand
Defending National Champion LSU was trying to keep up with Mississippi State and avoid the upset at home. Tigers’ quarterback Myles Brennan hooked up with wide receiver Terrace Marshall for a spectacular 33-yard touchdown pass to cut the score to 34-31. The grab is a contender for the best play of the week.

Marshall made the grab with one arm being grabbed by the defender. It wasn’t enough, however, to avoid the upset, as No. 6 LSU lost to Mississippi State, 44-34.
