The Chicago White Sox (32-16) and Oakland A’s (30-19) saw their World Series futures bump in the reduced regular season. The Chisox and A’s are both 10/1 odds to win the championship.
With 32 wins, the White Sox lead the American League in victories, and they’re in first place in the AL Central. They have one of the most exciting players in the league with Jose Abreu, who leads the majors with 48 RBI.
AL: Yanks Surging, Cleveland Sliding
The red-hot Yankees (27-21) turned around their season in the last week. The Bronx Bombers are in the middle of a seven-game winning streak and moved back into second place in the AL East.
The Bombers were out in full force on Tuesday night during a 20-5 thumping of the Toronto Blue Jays. Luke Voit crushed a pair of home runs to take the MLB lead with 18 long balls. It wasn’t weird to think someone on the Yankees would be this season’s Home Run King, but most everyone expected Aaron Judge or Giancarlo Stanton to take the crown. With both Judge and Stanton sidelined with injuries for significant amounts of time, Voit (.280, 18 HR, 42 RBI) has become the Yankees primary power hitter.
The good news in the Bronx is that the team is getting their big bats back in time for a playoff run. If they can stabilize the rotation, the Yankees offer up tremendous value with their World Series Futures at 15/2 odds or +750. They were 4/1 at the start of the season.
The slide continues for the Cleveland Indians (26-22). Terry Francona’s squad lost seven in a row and they’re playing themselves out of postseason contention.

NL: Flashy Padres, Quiet Braves
Once again, the Atlanta Braves (29-20) are flying under the radar. The Braves quietly sit in first place in the NL East. The defending champion Washington Nationals are experiencing a World Series hangover. The Philadelphia Phillies (24-23) struggle to stay above .500. That makes the Miami Marlins (24-22) as the biggest adversary for the Braves in division.
The Braves are worthy of a flier at 25/2 odds or +1250 if you’re seeking value in a potential World Series futures bet. The Marlins are on track to make the expanded MLB playoffs. If you’re feeling frisky, the Marlins are 50/1 odds to win the World Series.

Tatis smacked 15 home runs, drove in 40 runs, and he’s slashing at .286/.376/.594.
Machado hit 13 home runs with 40 RBI. Machado’s slash line is .311/.375/.579.
