If you think the Pittsburgh Steelers can finish the season with a perfect 16-0 record, then I have a prop bet for you. DraftKings updated its prop bet for a team to go 16-0 this season, and the 8-0 Pittsburgh Steelers are +900 or 9/1 odds to remain undefeated.

The Steelers have a top-5 offense and defense. They are ranked #4 in defense, allowing 20.1 points per game. Big Ben’s offense powers the fifth-highest scoring team in the NFL with 29.4 points per game.

As expected, the Steelers have the third-best turnover differential in the NFL with a +7. The Steel Curtain defense is tied for the league lead with 11 interceptions.

The Steelers recently defeated the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8, but they’ll meet again on Thanksgiving in Pittsburgh.

December will be a huge challenge for Pittsburgh with three road games, including two divisional smashmouth football battles at Cincinnati and Cleveland. They also have to play the Bills mafia at Buffalo (7-2) in Week 14.

DraftKings updated its NFL futures board and the Steelers are +550 or 11/2 odds to win the 2021 Super Bowl. When the season began, the Steelers were 25/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

Pittsburgh is +260 to win the AFC Championship and second-best on the board, behind Kansas City.

The Steelers are -455 odds to win the AFC North, while the Baltimore Ravens are +300 to win the division for the third year in a row.

Steelers’ Remaining Schedule

The Steelers have two tough divisional games in the next three weeks, which makes reaching 16-0 problematic. Oddsmakers opened the Steelers a -9.5 favorite, and they should defeat the Bengals in Week 10.

However, it’s a Thursday Night Football meeting on Turkey Day that could thwart their pursuit of perfection. Lamar Jackson and Ravens visit Big Ben and the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Thanksgiving evening. If the Ravens want a shot at the AFC North, then Thanksgiving is a must-win game.

Two weeks ago, the Steelers went on the road and edged out the Ravens 28-24.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS SCHEDULE
  • vs Cincinnati (2-5-1)
  • at Jacksonville (1-7)
  • vs Baltimore (6-2)
  • vs Washington (2-6)
  • at Buffalo (7-2)
  • at Cincinnati (2-5-1)
  • vs Indianapolis (5-3)
  • at Cleveland (5-3)

The Steelers have four games against winning teams, and four games against losing teams. Sure, games against one-win Jacksonville and two-win Washington seem like cream puffs, but they still have two divisional tilts against the Cincinnati Bengals (2-5-1).

Rookie QB Joe Burrow is one of the co-favorites to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and he’s been getting better every game he plays with the Bengals. It’s the second time they meet this season, in Week 15 in Cincinnati, that could pose problems for the Steelers.

If by chance the Steelers are 15-0 heading into the final week of the season, they’ll have to visit the Cleveland Browns and beat them at the Dawg Pound to secure a rare perfect season. The Browns would love to hand their rivals their first loss of the season to avenge a 38-7 ass-kicking in Week 6. If the Steelers want to lock up a 16-0 record, then that ultimate quest for perfection will run through Cleveland.
