What would have been a jam-packed day slate for Week 11 of college football has been greatly reduced due to postponements or cancellations because of COVID-19 cases. On DraftKings, the 14-game slate was dropped to 10. This will provide some opportunity, however, as we can get solid players at lower prices, and Arizona’s core, including quarterback Grant Gunnell, seems particularly cheap in a home matchup against USC.

Consider these players for your rosters:

Quarterbacks

Grant Gunnell, Arizona ($5,700 on DraftKings, $7,300 on FanDuel) – After the Wildcats’ game against Utah was canceled last week, the tilt against USC will be their season opener. Gunnell’s salary seems too low in what’s predicted to be a high-scoring game, with Arizona projected to total around 27 points. You can Gunnell him with the Wildcats’ top receiver, Jamarye Joiner, whose salary is just $4,700 on DraftKings and $7,200 on FanDuel.

Brennan Armstrong, Virginia ($6,500 on DK, $9,400 on FD) – Take away the NC State game in which Armstrong suffered a concussion and played in just the first quarter, and he boasts a DFS per-game average of close to 28 points on DraftKings. He should put up solid numbers this week in an expected shootout against Louisville. Armstrong is entirely too cheap on this slate on DraftKings, and is more accurately priced on FanDuel.

Running Backs

Javonte Williams, North Carolina ($9.500 on DK, $11,000 on FD) – I rarely roster a running back with a salary this high, but Williams should prove worth it. With quarterback Sam Howell hitting Williams with about three receptions per game, Williams is getting a satisfactory number of touches, and he has a nose for the end zone with 17 touchdowns in seven games. Oddsmakers expect the Tar Heels to be one of the highest-scoring teams on the slate.

Dedrick Mills, Nebraska ($5,700 on DK, $7,600 on FD) – Mills’ numbers on the ground didn’t impress last week with just 59 yards on 19 carries. But fill-in quarterback Luke McCaffrey targeted Mills often through the air after relieving Adrian Martinez. If McCaffrey starts this week, as expected, it should boost Mills’ value, especially on DraftKings. Plus, Penn State’s defense has proven surprisingly dreadful.

Wide Receivers

Drake London, USC ($5,900 on DK, $8,600 on FD) – Given his performance last week – eight receptions for 125 yards and a TD – London appears surprisingly underpriced. He stands to put up big DFS numbers in that shootout against Arizona. You’ll want several pieces of that game.

Xavier Gaines, Marshall ($3,900 on DK, Game not on FD) – I’d hoped to sneakily pick up several players from Marshall for cheap this week, given that they rarely see the college football DFS slate. But, DraftKings priced most of these guys high, given Marshall’s anticipated team total of 40 points against MTSU. Gaines is an exception. The tight end leads the Thundering Herd in receptions (19), yards (231), and receiving touchdowns (5) on the season. He’s a steal at this price.
