The Kansas City Chiefs visit the Denver Broncos for DFS Thursday Night Showdown in a game that is expected to be close, as the Chiefs are 3.5 favorites, and relatively high scoring, with an over/under of 50.

Both defenses have shown their vulnerabilities this year and the Chiefs offense needs no introduction. I’ll be focusing more on skill players than kickers and defenses in my lineups tonight, though some sprinkling in of those is usually wise (just witness the Monday night game that saw Detroit Lions kicker Matt Prater in the captain’s spot in winning lineups).

Here are some players to consider for DFS Thursday night showdown:

Courtland Sutton, Broncos WR

Sutton has been steady for Denver, with between four and seven receptions in every game and at least 75 receiving yards in four of six games to go along with three touchdowns. Fellow Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is suiting up on Thursday night after recovering from a knee injury, but may not be 100 percent. Sutton is value-priced on DraftKings at just $7,600 and is hard to pass up.

Tyreek Hill, Chiefs WR

Hill played his first snaps since Week 1 last Sunday and made quite the impression despite limited playing time – five catches on 10 targets for 80 yards and two TDs. The Broncos pass defense may be one of the best in the league, but that pass defense also hasn’t faced this dynamo of an offense yet. In this battle of the unstoppable force versus the immovable object, my money is on the unstoppable force.

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs QB

The same philosophy goes for Mahomes, who is one of the most feared quarterbacks in the league for good reason. He is passing for 350 yards per game, with 14 TDs and just one interception. Mahomes may be bothered by a gimpy ankle in DFS Thursday night showdown, which will be something to monitor before kickoff, but I’m more concerned about the offensive line’s protection than his scrambling ability.

Phillip Lindsay, Broncos RB

Lindsay has become more involved in the Broncos offense as the season has gone up, scoring four touchdowns in his last three games. Not only does he average about 15 rushes per game, but he’s also catching his fair share of passes, with 19 receptions on the year. The Broncos will look to exploit a Chiefs run D that is one of the league’s worst.
