Conference championship games are finally here, and with them come plenty of DFS goodness. Many of the top-scoring players in college DFS will be available on this slate from such teams as Clemson, LSU, and Oklahoma. Here is a look at some of my top selections for the slate.

Clemson running back Travis Etienne has enjoyed a strong end to the 2019 regular season. He looks to keep it going in the ACC Championship against the Virginia Cavaliers. (Image: Clemson Tigers)

Quarterbacks

Jalen Hurts, Oklahoma ($9,000 on DraftKings, $11,800 on FanDuel) – Hurts continues to be the “free square” of college football DFS, scoring points well above his ball-chucking brethren. Hurts scored “only” 30 DFS points on DK last week against Oklahoma State, which was his second-lowest output of 2019. He put up nearly 40 DFS points on Baylor when the teams first met in Week 12.

Trevor Lawrence, Clemson ($7,700 on DK, $9,700 on FD) – Lawrence has shown more of his freshman form of late, with accurate and interception-free passing performances. Against South Carolina last week, he was 26-of-36 for 295 yards and three TDs, while also running for 66 yards. Look for more of the same in the ACC Championship game this Saturday.

Running backs

Travis Etienne, Clemson ($7,300 on DK, $9,500 on FD) – After a slow start, Etienne has turned it on late in the season. Despite numerous, monstrous DFS games in a row (he’s scored at least 23.8 points on DK for seven consecutive weeks), he’s modestly priced. The Tigers are expected to blow out the Virginia Cavaliers, so plug Etienne in your lineups.

George Holani, Boise State ($5,600 on DK, $8,200 on FD) – The Broncos freshman has seen his workload increase as the season has progressed, and had a massive Week 13 tilt against Utah State in which he rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns. Hawaii’s running defense is porous, and Holani should find plenty of holes.

Wide receivers

Tee Higgins, Clemson ($6,000 on DK, $8,600 on FD) – Although Higgins has become the No. 1 receiver in the Tigers’ explosive pass-catching corps, his salary remains modest, which makes him great value. He’s scored seven touchdowns in the past four games, while catching 15 passes for 309 yards during that span.

Malik Williams, Appalachian State ($4,500 on DK, $6,400 on FD) – Williams is definitely more of a boom-or-bust tournament play, as his catch line over the past five games has been: 8, 1, 6, 1, 6. With Appalachian State expected to put up about 32 points on Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, he could have a big game.
