With Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes signing a record, 10-year, $503-million contract extension, sportsbooks are putting up some interesting prop bets. Several facilities are posting lines on everything from how many Super Bowls he’ll win to over/under lines on his passing yards and touchdowns this season.

The Westgate SuperBook USA posted the future bet on how many Super Bowls the Chiefs will win during the duration of Mahomes’ 10-year extension. The line is set at 1.5, with the over the favorite at -125. The under is at +105.

Jeff Sherman, vice president of risk for Westgate, told The Las Vegas Review-Journal that the bet pays regardless of whether or not Mahomes is with the team.

“So many things can change over time,” Sherman said. “Who knows if Mahomes will play out the duration of the contract? (Under bettors) just have to wait it out.”

Season-Long Mahomes Prop Bets Available

For those who don’t want to wait 10 years for a Mahomes prop bet to pay off, there are still plenty of opportunities to bet on the Kansas City quarterback. Several sportsbooks have posted Mahomes-related props for the 2020 season.

DraftKings and BetMGM each have two Mahomes-related offerings.

The first is passing yards for the season. The other is how many total touchdowns Mahomes will throw.

How many Passing Yards will Mahomes have in 2020?

DraftKings Over 4,500.5 -110 Under 4,500.5 -110
BetMGM Over 4,529.5 -110 Under 4,529.5 -110

How Many Passing TDs will Mahomes have in 2020?

DraftKings Over 34.5 -110 Under 34.5 -110
BetMGM Over 35.5 -110 Under 35.5 -110

BetMGM believes Mahomes will have better numbers. They have 29.5 total more passing yards than DraftKings, and one more passing touchdown. Last year, Mahomes had 4,031 passing yards and 26 touchdowns.

Mahomes was asked on Tuesday whether the half-billion-dollar contract puts more pressure on him to perform. He told reporters he doesn’t believe it will change him as a player.

“I don’t think it raises the pressure, honestly,” Mahomes said. “To me, the money never was the main objective. To me, it’s all about going out there, winning football games, and winning with your teammates and your brothers and the culture you’ve been a part of. That’s what it was always about.”

Tom Brady Prop Bets Popular

Circa hasn’t jumped on the Mahomes prop bet bandwagon like a lot of other sportsbooks, but it is putting up prop bets on Tom Brady, who is considered the best quarterback of all time.
