How To Play Craps

How to Play Craps Once you have understood how the bets work in a game of craps, you will just need to learn the basic steps to playing and winning at an online casino. Once you strip away the huge selection of betting types, you will find a game that is not just easy to play, but entertaining and lucrative as well.

Craps is essentially a solo "playing" game, but there are often other bettors who watch the table and wager either for or against the outcome of the shooter's throw. When playing at an online casino, you will usually be going it alone, although some venues may offer multiplayer options to heighten the entertainment.

A game of craps begins with the shooter rolling the dice for the Come Out roll. Everything rests on this initial roll, as a throw of 7 or 11 will be an instant win for the shooter, a 2, 3, or 12 will be "craps", and it will count as a loss, or if any other number appears the game will continue on its way.

The craps puck will be turned over from the black "off" side to the white "on" side. It will then be placed on whichever number corresponds to the number showing on the dice. So if an 8 is rolled, the puck will be placed on the number 8, and that will become the established number.

This is where the basic rules of the game change, as a 7 from here on in is the worst possible outcome. The shooter will continue to throw the dice until the established number (in this case, 8) or a 7 are rolled. If the established number appears before the 7, then the shooter automatically wins.

The most important feature of craps comes into play during this time, as a range of bets can be made on the outcome of the rolled dice.
