Warriors/Mavs Game 3 Scoring Prop Bets: Doncic, Curry, Thompson

The Golden State Warriors hold a 2-0 lead over the Dallas Mavs heading into Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday, and DraftKings posted numerous player prop bets on scoring totals and made 3-pointers for all the key players like Luka Doncic, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and Jalen Brunson.

The Mavs desperately need a win in Game 3 to avoid an 0-3 hole, but they luckily host the Warriors at home at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The Mavs also know that they don’t need Doncic to drop 40-plus points to win the game, rather, they need the rest of the starters to contribute on offense and knock down their 3-pointers.

Doncic leads the Mavs with 31.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game this postseason. Aside from player scoring prop bets, you can also wager on a potential triple-double on Doncic in Game 3, yes pays +380, and no pays -650.

Game 3: Scoring Totals Prop Bets

Luka Doncic 33.5 o/u… Doncic scored just 20 points in Game 1, but erupted for 42 points in a loss in Game 2. The Mavs, especially Doncic, tend to play better at home, so it’s not surprising to see such a high scoring total for the Slovenian wunderkind.

Steph Curry 26.5 o/u... Curry leads the Warriors in scoring averaging 26.8 ppg in the playoffs. He scored just 21 points in Game 1, but dumped in 32 points in Game 2. If he’s struggling to hit his treys, then Curry will stay in the lower 20s. If he’s hot, then an over looks good and he can easily go north of 30 points. The difference between Curry and Doncic is that Curry has a much better support staff with numerous guys who can scored 20-plus. The Warriors don’t need a ton of scoring from Curry to win every game.

Jalen Brunson 20.5 o/u… The Mavs tend to win when Brunson (22.9 ppg) has a great offensive game. They’re 0-3 this postseason when he scores 14 or fewer points. Then again, he jacked up 31 points and five treys in Game 2 and the Mavs lost.

Klay Thompson 18.5 o/u… The Warriors are 4-1 in games in which Thompson (19.5 ppg) scored 20-plus points this postseason. Their lone loss was a lackadaisical performance in Denver when the Warriors were up 3-0 against the Nuggets. Thompson is not the same player he was before his ACL/Achilles injuries, and Poole has been getting some of his touches.

Jordan Poole 16.5 o/u… Poole (19.5 ppg) is tied with Thompson for the second-best scorer on the Warriors this postseason. The Warriors are 3-2 when Poole scorer scores 14 or fewer points, but they’re 6-0 when he scores 23 or more points.

3-Pointers: Totals for Mavs’ Snipers

Luka Doncic 3.5 o/u… Doncic hits 35.7% of his 3-pointers in the postseason and his biggest scoring performances coincided with great long-range shooting. He’s 8-for-20 against the Warriors for 40%. He shot 10 or more treys in nine out of 12 postseason games, including 10 each in his last two games. Over 3.5 3-pointers is -150 odds for Doncic, but under 3.5 treys is +110.

Dorian Finney-Smith 2.5 o/u… Finney-Smith averages just 11.1 ppg for the Mavs this postseason, but he’s shooting 42.4% from beyond the arc. With numbers like that, the Mavs should really get him the ball more. The Mavs are 3-0 whenever Finney-Smith hits four or more treys. The over 2.5 treys is +150 odds for Finney-Smith in Game 3, but the under is -150 odds.

Reggie Bullock 2.5 o/u… When Bullock played for the New York Knicks last season, they won 70% of their games when Bullock scored 10 or more points. The Mavs rely on Bullock (11.1 ppg) for his defense and knocking down open 3-pointers (40%) in the postseason. Bullock drilled three or more treys 10 times in 15 playoff games. He’s shooting 9-for-20 against the Warriors for 45%.

3-Pointers: Golden State Gunners

Steph Curry 3.5 o/u… When Curry finds his scoring groove, he drills 3-pointers in bunches. Curry shot 9-for-19 in 3-pointers in two games against the Mavs for a 47.3% success rate. Overall, Curry connected on 37.5% of his 3-pointers in the playoffs, despite struggling from downtown in the regular season at 38%. It was his worst performance aside from the season when he played just five games and fractured his hand. Over 3.5 3-pointers is -140 odds for Curry, but under 3.5 treys is +110. In 13 playoff games, Curry knocked down four or more 3-pointers seven times, and he connected on three or fewer treys six times.

Klay Thompson 2.5 o/u… Thompson hit 39.6% from downtown this postseason, but went 1-for-4 in both games against the Mavs this series. Thompson hit two or fewer treys five times in 13 playoff games, which means he knocked down three or more eight times. If this were Game 6, we’d recommend the over for Thompson. But it’s not time for Game 6 Klay just yet. Thompson is -150 odds to hit three or more 3-pointers, but +115 odds to hit two or fewer.

Jordan Poole 1.5 o/u… Poole averages 39.5% from beyond the arc this postseason, but he does not shoot as many as the Splash Brothers. The Warriors are 5-0 whenever Poole hits three or more treys. There were six times where he connected on one or less (including once with zero made 3-point shots), and the Warriors were just 3-3 in those games. Poole hitting two more 3-pointers in Game 3 is -155 odds, but the under 1.5 treys is +120 odds.
