Patrick Mahomes loves throwing the ball to Hill, who’s ranked second in the NFL with 102 catches. He’s fourth overall in receiving yards with 1,178. Hill scored nine touchdowns this season.

The Chiefs have 13 players on the COVID list. They lost two other starters to positive tests on Tuesday, including offensive tackle Lucas Niang and linebacker Nick Bolton.

On Monday, three other starters tested positive for COVID-19, including tight end Travis Kelce, kicker Harrison Butker, and cornerback Charvarius Ward

Four backups from the Chiefs were also added to the reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday, including tight end Blake Bell, guard Kyle Long, and cornerbacks Armani Watts and Rashad Fenton.

Kelce, who’s vaccinated, has a chance to return to the Chiefs by Sunday if he can test negative twice within a 24-hour period.

Josh Gordon went on the COVID list last week after a positive test and missed the game against the Chargers. Gordon should be eligible to return to practice this week. If Hill is unable to play on Sunday, they’ll need Gordon to contribute.

On Deck: Steelers
