Carbon Poker has been in business since the beginning of 2005 and their aim is to ensure that online poker is fun at all times. Their software has steadily improved over the years and has many unique features simply not available at any other online poker room.
They are not the largest poker room around, but their community has a friendly 'small town' feel to it, and everyone there likes to have fun. Their big regular freerolls make it a favorite amongst players new to online poker.

Carbon Poker invented the 'Online Championship' idea that is now a very popular type of event at many online poker rooms. Their Summer Champs are running throughout the World Series of Poker this year and is a great event for players that like the thrill of competition. They also like to have fun with their players and the software is capable of being visually customised for special events. Overall the Carbon Poker promotions may not be as generous as some of the bigger sites, but the upside is that you have a much better chance of winning. But get in quickly as they are growing fast and will not be a small site forever.

Carbon are unique in offering some games not found at other poker rooms, like Badugi and 5 card draw with a joker in the deck as well as blackjack and backgammon. They only get 4.5/5 because there isn't always enough players to play all of the games yet.

There's not a whole lot of improvement needed with the software. We'd like to see some mixed games like HORSE added, and maybe some more tournament variations. The website does need some improvement, but you don't play on the website!
