Leave it to Shaquille O’Neal to take the “man cave” concept to new heights.

On Friday’s season finale of Treehouse Masters (Animal Planet, 9 pm ET), the basketball legend lays eyes for the first time on his new backyard escape at his estate in McDonough, Georgia. Shaq seems thrilled with the results.

His luxe hangout is outfitted with a speakeasy-style wet bar, dart board, poker table, and a large mural of himself in a blue tuxedo smoking a cigar. It’s built with special features fitting a 7-foot-1 man with size 22 shoes, including oversized steps and a 4-foot by 9-foot doorway — big enough to accommodate Shaq and several of his tallest friends.

O’Neal, 45, isn’t afraid to admit he’s a child at heart with designs on making up for lost time.

“As a youngster I did kid things,” Shaq said, “But when you’re focused on becoming the best basketball player in the world, you miss out on a lot.”

Watch the video to see Shaq and treehouse construction expert Pete Nelson get downright giddy together at the unveiling.
