UPDATED SUPER BOWL ODDS:
New Orleans Saints +180
Kansas City Chiefs +250
LA Rams +260
New England Patriots +350

The Saints knocked out the defending champions in the NFC Divisional round. The Eagles put up a good fight, but the Saints pulled out the 20-14 victory. Nick Foles’ magical run finally came to an end.

Despite an influx of Cowboys’ fans at the LA Coliseum, the Rams overcame a hostile visiting crowd to advance to the NFC Championship. The Rams beat the Cowboys 30-22 thanks to the emergence of backup running back CJ Anderson, whole stole the show in Hollywood.

The Patriots crushed the Chargers in the AFC Divisional round 41-28. The Chargers got off to a slow start and could not keep up with the rested and well-prepared Pats.

Andrew Luck struggled to play in the snow and cold at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The Chiefs dismantled the Colts 31-13 and Patrick Mahomes picked up his first playoff victory.

Who Dat Favorites

The Saints are the team to beat according to bookmakers, especially because they have home-field advantage with the #1 seed. The last time the Saints were the top seed in the NFC in 2009, they ran the table to win the Super Bowl. Sean Payton’s squad picked off the 14-2 Indianapolis Colts, led by Peyton Manning.

The Saints have been the favorite to win the Super Bowl shortly after they picked off the Rams mid-season during a shootout at the Superdome. The Rams will be seeking revenge, but the Saints are still the team to beat. They opened as three-point favorites over the Rams in the NFC title game.

Mahomes Mania

The Chiefs are +250 with the Patriots coming to town with revenge on their minds. The Pats won an insane game 43-40 during a shootout in Foxboro. But that was back in Week 6 and Mahomes more than held his own. The Chiefs get Brady and Belichick on their own turf.

The Chiefs are now 8-1 at home this season and opened as a three-point favorite over the Pats in the AFC Championship.

West LA Fadeaway

The emergence of CJ Anderson has become the big story in Hollywood. Anderson stepped in during the final weeks of the season to allow Todd Gurley to rest up his knees for a playoff run. What originally was supposed to be a temporary gig turned into a vital position.

The Rams quickly pivoted into a team with a beastly running attack. Anderson became a lethal weapon in the Rams’ offensive scheme. The Cowboys knew they would have a tough time holding Gurley to under 100 yards, but they had no idea that they’d have to contain two 100-yard rushers. Anderson and Gurley combined for 238 yards and three touchdowns. Anderson led the way with 123 yards and Gurley added 115 on the ground.

The Rams lost to the Saints in Week 9 to end their eight-game winning streak to start the season.

Pats Best Value

The Patriots are the sole “long shot” on the board with four teams remaining. The Pats are +350 odds to win the title, which is probably the best value on the board.

Then again, the Patriots are an anemic 3-5 on the road this season. They went 9-0 in Foxboro, but for some reason. The Pats are a different team away from home. But never count out Belichick in the playoffs, plus Tom Brady still has plenty of gas left in the tank.
