Sam Hartman, Jaquarii Roberson Could Be DFS Bounties This Saturday

The final regular-season weekend of the college football season sees some very expensive DFS quarterbacks such as CJ Stroud, Bryce Young and Sam Hartman in what should be some high-scoring games. Fortunately, we can find some cheap plays at other positions to help us roster the blue chips.

Here are six players to consider this Saturday:

Quarterbacks

Sam Hartman, Wake Forest ($9,300 on DraftKings, $11,500 on FanDuel) – Stroud and Young may give the Heisman love, but Hartman continues to put up monster numbers for a middling Demon Deacons team. He has passed for at least 300 yards in six of his past seven games, but he only threw for one touchdown last week, which has kept his salary more reasonable this week (on DraftKings, at least). Boston College is unlikely to stop Hartman in Week 13.

Jordan Travis, Florida State ($6,900 on DK, $9,000 on FD) – Travis has sneakily come on with nice DFS numbers late in the year, scoring 24.6 and 31.2 points on DraftKings the past two weeks. He matches up against a Florida program in free-fall this week.

Running backs

Evan Hull, Northwestern ($5,500 on DK, $7,200 on FD) – The Wildcats’ running game has begun to flow more and more through Hull, who rushed 25 times for 96 yards and a TD and caught six passes for 33 yards last week against Purdue. He’s a solid play at a low salary against an Illinois defense that ranks 140th in college football against opposing running backs in DFS.

Malik Davis, Florida ($3,900 on DK, $6,400 on FD) – Davis could be an interesting punt play this Saturday in what could be a high-scoring matchup of bad D’s. No. 20 averages less than 10 touches per game, but he has become more involved in the passing attack, with four receptions in two of the Gators’ past four games. If Davis finds the end zone, as he has done six times this season, he may pay off the low salary handsomely.

Wide receivers

Jameson Williams, Alabama ($8,600 on DK, $9,600 on FD) – Williams has become a big part of Young’s march to New York City, catching 59 passes for 1,218 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season. He has at least 100 yards receiving in each of his past four games, averaging nearly 38 fantasy points per game on DraftKings. Williams will look to further impress in the Iron Bowl on Saturday.

Jaquarii Roberson ($8,000 on DK, $8,400 on FD) – Pair Sam Hartman with his top receiver Roberson, who looks to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark receiving this week. Roberson has been inconsistent this year, in part due to injury, but appears healthy now and ready to put up big numbers against Boston College to close out the regular season.
