Team Penske has been dominant at Talladega Superspeedway over the last six races, with four victories. It is a trend that is hard to overlook, and I believe will continue on Sunday at the YellaWood 500.

That is why with this week’s One Bet, $100, I am going to take Team Penske to be the winning organization at the YellaWood 500 at Talladega. DraftKings is offering +350 odds on one of team’s four drivers to be victorious.

Last week I took a match up bet between Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick at the SouthPoint 400. I liked the even money I was getting with Truex to finish higher than Harvick, who was at -130. Truex finished fifth, while Harvick was at -130.

This week’s wager seems to be backed up by recent results, which of course mean little, but I do think Team Penske’s performance at Talladega gives them an edge. Three of the four drivers in Roger Penske’s stable: Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, and Joey Logano have recent victories at Talladega.

Team Penske High Up Talladega Betting Board

All three of those Team Penske drivers are near the top of the betting boards to win at Talladega. Blaney is the 10/1 favorite at BetMGM, with Keselowski and Logano next at 11/1. At FoxBet, Blaney and Logano are at 10/1, behind Denny Hamlin, who is the favorite at 9/1. Keselowski is at 12/1.

Keselowski has won five times at Talladega, while Logano has three victories, and Blaney two. Keselowski told reporters it is clear to him why Team Penske has had such strong results at Talladega.

“We have a great driver lineup right now.  I tell you, if I was a team owner right now and I had to pick the best driver lineup in Cup, and I know this is somewhat tooting my own horn, but it’s as much tooting the horn of Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney and Matt DiBenedetto, but I think we have the strongest driver lineup in Cup right now.  I really do. I know that’s probably arguable and it’s completely subjective, but that’s way to our favor at tracks like the plate tracks and we’re gonna continue to try and leverage it.”

Why Team Penske Driver Will Win

I look at Talladega as a law of averages, and Team Penske has more variables than any other team. Sine 2012, Team Penske drivers have won nine of the 17 races at Talladega.

Keselowski told reporters they need to further that dominance.

“We need to kind of maximize out strengths and minimize our weaknesses,” Keselowski said. “This weekend is certainly looking like a strength for us. We have high expectations.”

So do I, and am placing my faith that one of those three drivers find victory lane on Sunday.
