NFL DFS Week 12: D’Onta Foreman, MVS Could Provide Value

With Thanksgiving happening this week, we get a skinny 10-game slate in Week 12 this Sunday. That’s required deeper digging to find value plays under $5,000 on DraftKings at the various positions. We’ve got no options at quarterback this week, and limited options at running back. But we can save money on some receivers to allow us to plug in the Tom Bradys and Jonathan Taylors of the world.

Here are five below $5K to consider this week.

D’Onta Foreman, Titans RB ($4,800)

Tennessee has experienced challenges replacing Derrick Henry, with multiple injuries and Adrian Peterson’s ineffectiveness. Foreman looks to be the guy getting the most reps against New England in Week 12, so long as he can recover from his triceps injury. While Foreman is likely to play, his status bears monitoring. Keep fellow Titans running back Dontrell Hilliard ($4,600) ready to plug in against the Patriots’ 23rd ranked D against DFS running backs in Foreman sits out.

Jakobi Meyers, Patriots WR ($5,000)

Meyers continues to be a consistent presence in the New England passing game, but his lack of touchdowns has kept his DFS salary down. He’s made just one trip to the end zone on 54 receptions this season, so he’s due for positive regression.

Jamison Crowder, Jets WR ($4,700)

Crowder missed several games earlier this year with injury, and poor quarterback play hasn’t helped his cause. But last week against Miami, he caught six passes for 44 yards and a TD on seven targets. In Week 12, he’ll face a Texans defense that ranks 24th in the NFL against opposing DFS wide receivers.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Packers WR ($4,100)

No. 83 got the start last week due to Allen Lazard’s shoulder injury, and Valdes-Scantling took advantage with four receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. Lazard could miss the Week 12 game, and top wideout Davante Adams will likely face coverage from Rams’ All-Pro Jalen Ramsey.

Rob Gronkowski, Buccaneers TE ($4,400)

Brady’s longtime running mate has missed most of the season with a back injury after putting up big numbers in the first three games. He came back strong against the Giants last week, with six receptions for 71 yards. Yet his DFS salary remains cheap as he works his way back into the offense. Gronk is a steal in Week 12.
