5 Golfers to Roster in DFS at the Memorial Tournament

The PGA Tour tees off at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio, for the second straight week on Thursday, this time, for the Memorial Tournament. The course plays at 7,392 yards this week and a par of 72. DFS players have a bounty of stars to choose from, as 48 of the top-50 golfers in the world, including Tiger Woods, will hit the links at Jack Nicklaus’ signature event.

But who will provide the best values in DFS tournaments? Here are five golfers to consider for your rosters:

Jon Rahm ($9,300 on DraftKings, $11,400 on FanDuel)

Some DFS players have written the Spaniard off after subpar – for him – performances since the PGA Tour resumed play. After missing the cut at the Charles Schwab Challenge, Rahm finished 33rd,  37th, and 27th over the following three weeks. He did, however, shoot 64 at Muirfield on Sunday, flashing some of the early season promise that saw him finish in the top 10 in five of his first six tournaments. His depressed price, combined with likely lower ownership, makes him worth a look this week at the Memorial Tournament.

Brooks Koepka ($9,100 on DK, $10,700 on FD)

Koepka originally intended to sit this one out, but decided to tune up his game before attempting to defend his PGA Championship title next month. He missed the cut here last week at the Workday Charity Open, but only by a stroke after making a strong charge on the back nine on Friday. Koepka will be part of a dynamic grouping with Woods and Rory McIlroy for his Thursday tee time, which should only provide him with more motivation.

Daniel Berger ($8,700 on DK, $10,200 on FD)

I look at this price and have to wonder what I’m missing. For a sub-$9,000 price on DK, I can get a player whose past five finishes are ninth, fifth, fourth, first, and third. Berger’s form this season has been phenomenal and I’ll make him a part of my core in building lineups this week.

Abraham Ancer ($8,500 on DK, $9,900 on FD)

I’ll also make Ancer part of my core lineup. He’s another hot one in the past month, with three top-15 finishes capped by a runner-up finish to Webb Simpson at the RBC Heritage. Since its return, he leads the tour in strokes gained on approach, and has hit 70% of greens in regulation, which could prove a valuable stat this week. Sticking approaches close to the pin should be critical with the expected fast greens this week.

Kevin Streelman ($7,600 on DK, $9,300 on FD)

Can Streelman keep it up? On the season he’s missed 10 of 18 cuts, but he finished inside the top 10 for each of the past two weeks, including a second at the Travelers Championship. Streelman came in at seventh at Muirfield last week and has historically performed well here, with two top-10 finishes at the Memorial Tournament in the past four years.
