Could NFL marquee players Rob Gronkowski and Odell Beckham Jr. be traded in the offseason? BetDSI believes it is a possibility and has posted odds on several athletes getting dealt to new squads.

There have been several high-profile players traded this year. The first was Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith shipped off to Washington for a third-round draft pick and cornerback Kendall Fuller.

Super Bowl Champions Philadelphia bolstered its defensive line by acquiring defensive end Michael Bennett and a seventh round pick in exchange for wide receiver Marcus Johnson along with a fifth-round pick.

New England pulled off a mild surprise when it dealt wider receiver Brandin Cooks to the Los Angeles Rams for a couple of draft picks. The Patriots got the 23rd overall pick in this year’s draft, as well as a sixth round pick.

Gronkowski Might be Off Table

The Cooks deal might have actually benefitted the New England tight end. The team’s management might not want to deal him now that they got rid of another receiver.

BetDSI has the chance Gronkowski gets traded by Sept. 6 at +800. Staying with his current team is -1200. If quarterback Tom Brady gets a vote he would want his favorite target to stay right where he is. The duo are have the second most touchdown hookups. Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates of the Chargers are first.

Another player that is probably staying with his current team is Beckham Jr. The Giants’ wide receiver is a +450 to be traded and a -650 to return to New York.

Most teams look at the star as too much headache for the talent he provides. Also money is a factor with Beckham. There aren’t a lot of teams that want to take on his contract.

Some Stars Likely to Go

One player that could be a good bet to be wearing a new uniform next year is Denver running back C.J. Anderson. The 27 year old might be losing his job to Devontae Booker. The Broncos could certainly use some help on the offensive line and a deal might make sense.

The only problem is that this year’s draft is flush with quality running backs and many teams that have that need might fulfill it through the draft and not lose anything.

Denver might want to keep him and use a two-back system, or wait until the season starts and see if they can get something for him. He does have low odds at +180, as opposed to -220 to remain a Bronco.

Seattle safety Earl Thomas could help out some teams in need of an upgrade in the defensive secondary. The Seahawks have a desire to part with him and his $8.5 million salary.

Any team that wants him, however, will probably have to part with a high draft pick. That price might be too steep for most teams.

One professional player that many teams would like is Pittsburgh running back Le’Veon Bell. He is apparently at odds with management because they have put the franchise tag on him two consecutive years.

The Steelers have the problem that many teams with impending free agents face. Do they try and trade him and get something, or risk letting him leave for nothing? Bell is +500 to stay and -750 to go.
