It’s every football fan’s favorite time of the year!  The matches are heating up with three intense games slated for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Here’s a look at some of our picks for the NFL’s Week 12.

THANKSGIVING FOOTBALL
Oakland Raiders v Dallas Cowboys
This could be a pretty interesting matchup as Dallas has been slipping in recent weeks while the Raiders have their moments as evidenced by their wins over Philly and Cincy.  This might prove to be one of those moments as Oakland heads to Dallas.  Oakland has seen a boost in their offense with Bruce Gradkowski taking over as quarterback.  Plus, the defense has the potential to shut down the strong Dallas offense.  That being said, Dallas has a history of playing well on Thanksgiving games, particularly on the home field.  This will be one to watch.

Pointspread
Raiders: +13 ½ -110
Cowboys: -13 -110
Moneyline
Raiders: +600
Cowboys: -800

New York Giants v Denver Broncos
It’s the battle between two previous greats.  At the beginning of the season, these two teams were being touted as playoff contenders.  Then they were handed their first loss of the season and both fell into a spiral of losses.  The Giants picked up their first win in five games last week, and though they have recovered somewhat, they’ll still need to play some good football to get a win in Denver.  The Broncos on the other hand are in crisis mode.  Head coach Josh McDaniels has been showing his inexperience in recent games, which is reflected in the lacking defense and offense that can’t seem to move the ball down the field. This one will be close, but expect the Giants to do well.

Pointspread
Giants: -7 -110
Broncos: +7 -110
Moneyline
Giants: -320
Broncos: +260

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 29
Indianapolis Colts v Houston Texans
Will the Colts be able to hold onto their undefeated season?  It’s the question on everyone’s mind as they head to Texas for a show down with a pretty strong Texan team.  The last time these two met, the Texans had a good chance to pull off a win, but due to a missed field goal, the Colts eked out a win.  Things might be a little different this time around as the Colts have barely been managing to pull off wins in recent weeks.  The Texans are coming into this one off a disappointing loss against Tennessee and will likely be looking for a win in this one.  Expect a tough game for the Colts, and possibly their first loss of the season.

Pointspread
Colts: -3 -125
Texans: +3 +105

Chicago Bears v Minnesota Vikings
In all likelihood, the Bears’ playoff hopes have ended, but a win in this game would do a lot for the team’s morale.  Unfortunately for them, the Vikes are ruling the NFC North and look to be at the top of their game.  Brett Favre and the Minnesota offense are showing no signs of slowing down.  On the other side of the field, Jay Cutler couldn’t look worse.  He’s throwing picks and missing wide-open receivers.  With the way the Bears have been playing, and with Minnesota on the home field, it should be another win for the Vikings.

Pointspread
Bears: +10 ½ -110
Vikings: -10 ½ -110

Seattle Seahawks v St Louis Rams
There’s not much at stake in this game, except a last place finish in the NFC West.  The Seahawks continue to disappoint, as they are unable to find a winning formula.  There are whispers about a few upcoming changes in management for the Seahawks.  Add to that the fact that the team is still trying to overcome injury.  In the mean time, the Rams have somewhat redeemed themselves in recent weeks with strong performances against Arizona and New Orleans.  This should be some pretty basic football, but a win at home for St Louis seems likely.

Pointspread
Seahawks: -3 -120
Rams: +3 Ev

Jacksonville Jaguars v San Francisco 49ers

This should be a pretty fun game to watch if not just for the tough physical play that these two teams favor.  There will definitely be an emphasis on the ground game in this one.  Jacksonville will need to play strong from the start of the game if they want a win and thus continue their campaign for a wild card spot.  The 9ers will likely perform well on the home field.  Expect a battle to the end between these two teams.

Pointspread
Jaguars: +3 Ev
49ers: -3 -120

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

New England Patriots v New Orleans Saints
This should be an interesting game, as we will see another undefeated team play for a chance to hold onto their perfect season.  This will certainly be a tough test for the Saints, and if anyone is going to hand them a loss it will be the Pats.  Both teams are sporting stellar offensive lines led by a couple of the best quarterbacks in the league.  The Patriots have managed to beef up their running game just in time to give the Saints’ defense a hard time.  This might be bad news for the Saints, as their game seems to have lost something since the beginning of the season.  However, with their undefeated season on the line at the home field, New Orleans will probably pull out all the stops.  Expect a close game.

Pointspread
Patriots: +3 -120
Saints: -3 Ev
