LA Galaxy: Even without Becks, the Galaxy have been able to dominate the MLS this season. Landon Donovan has been at his sparkling best since returning from a successful stint in the Premier League, while Edson Buddle currently holds the top goalscorer title with 12 strikes so far. The Galaxy had a poor time dealing without their stars during the World Cup, but will be looking to continue their winning ways against the Fire this weekend. A full strength LA squad would spell certain doom for any opponents, not least of which an out-of-form Chicago outfit.
Chicago Fire: As New York Red Bulls proudly present their latest international superstar, Chicago Fire have a star of their own to unveil. Mexico international Nery Castillo announced he had joined the Fire on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk not two weeks ago, and all eyes will be on him this weekend as he attempts to take down the current MLS leaders. Chicago failed to win a game in July, but on Sunday they will have the chance to avoid a three-match losing streak in the toughest of circumstances; whether they will have either the skill or the determination to do so is another matter entirely.
