Lakers defend home court
June 10, 2008
The LA Lakers have taken one game back from the Celtics to only be down 1-2 in the NBA Finals and are favorites to take game 4 on Thursday.
A big performance from guards Kobe Bryant and Saha 'The Machine' Vujacic saw the Lakers defeat Boston in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
Bryant had 36 points with 7 rebounds, but shot a below average 11-18 from the free throw line. Vujacic had 20 points off the bench in 27 minutes, shooting an impressive 70% from the field.
Celtics stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce both put in sub-par performances, shoting a combined 8-35 (23%), continuing the Celtics road game woes.
The online oddsmakers at BetUS have the Lakers as 8 point favorites to win again on Thursay in game 4.
At the Bodog Sportsbook, the Celtics are still favored to win the championship, with odds of 1.67 (-150) to the Lakers' 2.30 (+130).
The odds for the final series score at Bodog paints a different picture though, with both Boston to win 4-3 and Los Angeles to win 4-2 offering the same odds of 3.50 (5/2).
There's a whole range of other NBA Finals prop bets available at Bodog also. You can bet on who scores first, total points, even what type of play will be the last points of the first half - 2pts, 3pts or a free throw.

Ed's Note: We did think that the Lakers would win this, but after they struggled in Boston we're not so sure. If they win game 4 in LA, we still like them to take it in 6 games.
