NFL Schedule - Team vs. Team - Week 6
Buffalo Bills vs Arizona Cardinals
This will be just the tenth time these sides have met since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970. On paper these sides are very similar. The Cardinals have a superior receiving group lead by Larry Fitzgerald but Bills running backs CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson are both superior to the Cardinals Beanie Wells. Both teams defenses are relatively strong so this game is likely going to come down to quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick and Kevin Kolb. Fitzpatrick has the potential to be an elite NFL quarterback but has struggled for consistency while Kolb is solid but doesn't take many risks. The best betting play is this game is to gamble on the team that starts the game at the longest odds at Online Sportsbooks.
Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns
This will be the second meeting between these sides in the 2012 NFL schedule. The games between the Browns and the Bengals are generally high-scoring but we expect that this game will buck that trend. The Browns offense has struggled in 2012 but their defense is hard to score points against. The Bengals are inconsistent on offense but attacking weapon AJ Green is always a threat to make a big play. However, the battle between running backs Trent Richardson and BenJarvus Green-Ellis may decide this game. Whoever can get their teams more first downs and keep their side on the field for longer should win this game. The Browns will start this game at long odds and are capable of springing an upset.
Dallas Cowboys vs Baltimore Ravens
The Dallas Cowboys will be desperate to beat the Baltimore Ravens for the first time. In all three meetings the Ravens have beaten the Cowboys convincingly and they will be favored to do the same in 2012. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will have to be in excellent form if the Cowboys are going to win this game. The Ravens defense is one of the best in the NFL and their offense has improved in 2012. They should be able to beat the Cowboys easily. However, the Cowboys have a habit of saving their best performances for the top teams and they often spring an upset when it is least expected. If the Dallas Cowboys are available at long odds at Online Sportsbooks they may be worth a small bet.
Denver Broncos vs San Diego Chargers
The Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers meet in a clash that may decide who wins the AFC West. The games between these sides are always very intense and physical. This will be the first time Peyton Manning faces the Chargers as a member of the Denver Broncos. He may be the difference in this game as both games, between the Broncos and the Chargers last season, were decided by a single touchdown with Tim Tebow as the Broncos quarterback. Manning is a substantial upgrade to Tebow and he should be able to put up strong passing numbers against the Chargers. The pressure will be on Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers to respond and that may lead to him making some costly errors.
Detroit Lions vs Philadelphia Eagles
The Detroit Lions will be desperate to end a six game losing-streak against the Philadelphia Eagles that dates back to 1988. This should be a very high-scoring game and a battle between star quarterbacks Matt Stafford and Michael Vick. Both players have been inconsistent in 2012 but are extremely important to their side's playoff chances. The Lions have a strong defensive line who should be able to overpower the Eagles flimsy offensive line and put the pressure on Vick. Because of this the Detroit Lions deserve to be favourites going into this game. They should be available at good odds and are well worth a bet at Online Sportsbooks.
Green Bay Packers vs Houston Texans
The game between the Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans is the most anticipated in week 6 of the 2012 NFL schedule. This will be just the third meeting between the sides and they currently share a win apiece. The Texans have looked fabulous in 2012 and look like being the team to beat for the AFC Conference Championship. Their defense has continued to improve in 2012 and their squad is now feared on both sides of the ball. The Packers have been inconsistent in 2012 and would love to make a statement against the Texans. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers must play well if they are going to have a chance. The Texans look like being a good betting play as they will be available at longer odds at Online Sportsbooks.
Indianapolis Colts vs New York Jets
This is a big game for the New York Jets. The Jet side is desperate to return to the playoffs in 2012 and if they are going to do that they must win games like this one. The Jets have struggled to string together good performances in 2012. Head coach Rex Ryan needs to find a way to make the side more consistent otherwise he may be out of a job at the end of the year. The Colts are still a work in progress but have shown some promising signs. Rookie quarterback Andrew Luck is slowly finding his feet but it may be a couple of years before the Colts are playoff contenders again. The Jets should win this game but it is hard for NFL gamblers to put any trust in the inconsistent side.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Kansas City Chiefs have lost their last three meetings against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will be desperate to snap this losing streak in week 6. The Chiefs have struggled in 2012 and the pressure is really on quarterback Matt Cassel to perform. Cassel signed a big-money deal with the Chiefs but if he doesn't improve the franchise may look to the 2013 NFL draft for a new quarterback. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have improved under new head coach Greg Schiano in 2012 and will be favorites to win this game. The Buccaneers defensive line has been very strong and should be able to nullify the duel Chiefs running threats of Jamaal Charles and Peyton Hillis. The Buccaneers appear to be a safe bet in this game.
Minnesota Vikings vs Washington Redskins
The Minnesota Vikings have an excellent record against the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field. The Vikings have won three of their four meetings at the stadium as well as the last two games between these sides. This is a difficult game to analyze as nobody is quite sure how good either of these teams is. Robert Griffin III has sparked the Redskins offense and they now look like being a legitimate threat in the NFC East. However, they lost to the Rams in week 2 and have been unable to string together consecutive wins. The same can be said about the Vikings. Quarterback Christian Ponder has performed well but the side need to find more consistency. The best betting play in this game is to gamble on the side available at longer odds at Online Sportsbooks.
New England Patriots vs Seattle Seahawks
This will be just the third meeting between these sides since 1993. The Seattle Seahawks have lost their last two games to the New England Patriots but won the five meetings before that. The Seahawks are definitely a chance to win this game as the Patriots have not been their dominant selves in 2012. The Seahawks defense has been very strong and they should be able to put plenty of pressure on Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. However, the Patriots realize they need to start winning games if they are going to be contenders in 2012. They don't want to suffer another embarrassing defeat and should be fired up enough to beat the Seahawks.
New York Giants vs San Francisco 49ers
This is a rematch between last year's NFC Conference Championship Game that was won by the New York Giants. The Giants have an excellent record against the 49ers in recent years. Eli Manning has lost to the 49ers just once in five meetings and appears to save some of his best performances for battles with San Francisco. However, the 49ers will be desperate to avenge their narrow loss to the Giants last year. They are an even better side than they were last season mainly because of the significant improvement they had made offensively. The 49er should be available at decent odds and are one of the best bets of the week.
Oakland Raiders vs Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons have blown out the Oakland Raiders in their last two meetings and appear likely to do the same in 2012. The Falcons have one of the strongest offensive units in the NFL and they have also improved on defense. The Raiders have struggled in 2012 and appear destined to miss the playoffs once again. They can't even blame Carson Palmer this year as the veteran quarterback has played quiet well. Even so it is very difficult to see the Raiders offense being able to score enough points to hang with the Falcons. The Falcons are going to be at very good odds to beat the Raiders in spread betting markets at Online Sportsbooks.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Tennessee Titans
The Pittsburgh Steelers have won the last three meetings between these former divisional rivals. The Steelers are one of the most consistent sides in the NFL and is very rare to see them lose games as favorites. They still have major problems with their offensive line but Ben Roethlisberger is good enough not to be heavily affected by this. This will be a tough game for the Titans and it is difficult to see them causing an upset. The Steelers run defense is very strong so running back Chris Johnson will not be able to take the pressure off young quarterback Jake Locker. One thing in the Titans favor is they do have a strong record against the Steelers at LP Field but even so the Steelers appear to be a safe bet.
St Louis Rams vs Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins have an impressive record against the St Louis Rams. In eleven meetings they have lost to the Rams just twice and are undefeated at home. The Dolphins have relied heavily on running back Reggie Bush in 2012 and that won't change against the Rams. Bush is their only real offensive weapon and if they are going to win this game he will need to rush for over 100 yards and score a touchdown. The Rams have been surprise packets in 2012 and have been superbly led by quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford may be the difference in this game and is the main reason why we are tipping a Rams upset. The Rams will be available at very large odds at Online Sportsbooks and will be well worth a small bet.
