NFL Schedule - Team vs. Team - Week 5

Arizona Cardinals vs St Louis Rams

The rivalry between the Arizona Cardinals and St Louis Rams is extremely tight. Just one game separates the sides after seventy-nine meetings. This will be a very interesting game as both sides have performed above expectations in 2012. Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is throwing the ball well and is being ably supported by an improved offensive line. The Cardinals have continued their astonishing record of winning tight games. The franchise seems to thrive under adversity and if they can perform as well throughout the game as they do in pressure situations they would be playoff contenders. This will be a tight game so the best betting option is to gamble on the side available at the best odds at Online Sportsbooks.

Atlanta Falcons vs Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins have an excellent record against the Atlanta Falcons. This game should be a high scoring contest between these entertaining sides. The battle between the quarterbacks will be very interesting. Redskins rookie Robert Griffin III will have to be at his very best if he is going to keep the Redskins in touch with the high-powered Falcons offense led by Matt Ryan. The Falcons defense has improved significantly in 2012 and because of this the Falcons are now being spoken about as genuine Super Bowl contenders. The Falcons should be too strong in this game and we suggest betting on over in the over/under market at Online Sportsbooks.

Baltimore Ravens vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs offense will have their work cut out for them against the strong Ravens defense. The Chiefs have relied on their running game this season and the Ravens have the best rush defense in the NFL. Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel will therefore be forced to throw the ball more than usual and he must avoid making mistakes if the Chiefs are going to be a chance in this game. The Ravens passing game has been excellent in 2012. Joe Flacco is making better decisions and he has found a new favorite target in tight end Dennis Pitta while running back Ray Rice continues to produce good rushing numbers. The Ravens are deserving of their current position as AFC Conference Championship second favorites at Online Sportsbooks and should beat the Chiefs easily.

Buffalo Bills vs San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers is the current favorites to win the 2012 Super Bowl. They have been outstanding on both sides of the football, with their offense showing definite improvement under Jim Harbaugh. Quarterback Alex Smith is in career best form and is finally developing into a top 10 quarterback in the NFL. The Buffalo Bills will have a tough time scoring points against the 49ers defense. The pressure will really be on running back CJ Spiller to make some big plays and get the Bills some offensive momentum. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick must make good decisions as the 49ers will make him pay for any poor passes. The 49ers have far too much quality for the Bills and should win this game comfortably.

Chicago Bears vs Jacksonville Jaguars

This will be just the sixth meeting between these sides. The Chicago Bears have been inconsistent in 2012. Their high-powered offense makes them look like Super Bowl contenders at time but on other occasions they have looked awful. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has a poor record against the Jaguars and he will have to overcome that if he is going to lead his team to victory. The Jaguars have been big improvers in 2012 but it is difficult to see their offense keeping up with the Bears. The Jaguars offense still relies far too heavily on Maurice Jones-Drew and they will struggle to score points against the strong Bear defense. The Bears are a good bet to beat the spread in this game and are available at attractive odds at Online Sportsbooks.

Cleveland Browns vs New York Giants

The Cleveland Browns have an impressive record against the New York Giants and will be hoping to maintain that in their first meeting at MetLife Stadium. The Browns defense is very strong and could trouble Eli Manning and the Giants offense. Manning has been inconsistent in 2012 and the Browns defense will take advantage of any poor throws. The problem the Browns have is scoring enough points on offense. They were the 30th ranked team on offense last season and although they have improved on that in 2012 the Browns are still a long way from having a strong offensive unit. The Giants will win this game in what should be a low-scoring affair.

Denver Broncos vs New England Patriots

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots meet in a re-match of last season's AFC Divisional Playoff Game. This is one of the most anticipated games of the NFL season as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady face off once again. These two have developed one of the greatest quarterback rivalries in NFL history and have played in some of the most memorable NFL games of all time. Brady currently has the wood over Manning and he and the Patriots will be desperate to maintain this. This will be a very important game for both sides and will be a clear indicator of both sides Super Bowl chances. The best gambling play in this game is betting on the team at longer odds because you never know what Brady or Manning will produce against each other.

Green Bay Packers vs Indianapolis Colts

The Green Bay Packers and Indianapolis Colts will meet for the first time at Lucas Oil Stadium. This rivalry has historically been very close but the Packers should be too strong in 2012. The Colts secondary defense is very poor and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers should be able to take advantage of this and put up some big passing yards. Rookie Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will be under pressure to match it with Rodgers and that could lead to him making some big mistakes. The Packers are an excellent bet to beat the spread in this game and should be available at good odds at Online Sportsbooks.

Houston Texans vs New York Jets

The Houston Texans will be desperate to beat the New York Jets for the first time. The Jets have won all five meetings between the two sides and the Texans are the only team in the NFL they have never lost too. This is the best opportunity the Texans may ever have to break the drought. They are stronger than the Jets on both sides of the football and are one of the teams to beat for the 2012 Super Bowl. This is an important game for the Jets as these are the type of games they need to win if they are going to qualify for the playoffs in 2012. Unfortunately for the Jets, the Texans are red hot and should win this game comfortably.

Miami Dolphins vs Cincinnati Bengals

The Miami Dolphins have an excellent record against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Dolphins have won the majority of their meetings, since beating the Bengals in the 1973 AFC Divisional Playoff Game. This will be a very interesting game as these sides are fairly similar. The x-factor in this game could be Bengals receiver AJ Green who is one of the most explosive players in the NFL. The Dolphins lack a star receiver and running back Reggie Bush handles the majority of their offense. This will be a good test for the rookie Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill as he faces off against similarly skilled quarterback Andy Dalton. The Bengals just have the edge in this game but the Dolphins are a good bet in the spread betting market at Online Sportsbooks.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a poor record against the Philadelphia Eagles. These sides have played very infrequently since the AFL-NFL merger but in the early days of the NFL this was a very competitive rivalry. Both these sides play in tough divisions so every game in the 2012 NFL schedule is important for their playoff ambitions. This will be a battle between two quarterbacks with poor offensive lines. Ben Roethlisberger and Michael Vick are both forced to extend plays with their feet as both their offensive lines have offered poor protection in 2012. This will be a tight game and the best gambling play is to bet on the team that is available at longer odds at Online Sportsbooks.

San Diego Chargers vs New Orleans Saints

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will face off against his old team the San Diego Chargers. Brees will be desperate to get another win over his old team in a game that is almost must-win for the Saints. The Saints started the 2012 NFL season very poorly and if they lose to the Chargers are in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2008. The Chargers have started the season well and are currently in the driving seat in the competitive AFC West division. A win against the Saints will confirm the Chargers as playoff contenders. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers would love to get a win over Brees and will need to perform well if the Chargers are going to be victorious. This is another game where the best betting playing will be gambling on the underdog.

Seattle Seahawks vs Carolina Panthers

This will be just the sixth meeting between the Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. Neither side has beaten the other on the road, which automatically gives the Panthers the advantage as this game will be played at Bank of America Stadium. This meeting will be a battle between two young and exciting quarterbacks. Cam Newton was a revelation in his rookie season and has been impressive again in 2012. Rookie Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson won the starting job with some incredible play in the NFL preseason but he is yet to replicate that in the regular season. One advantage the Seahawks have is their defense is superior to the Panthers. This will be a tight game but the big play ability of Newton should be enough to get the Panthers over the line.

Tennessee Titans vs Minnesota Vikings

The Tennessee Titans will have to overcome a terrible record at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome if they are going to defeat the Minnesota Vikings in week 2. The Titans have struggled in 2012 and seem to have regressed after their strong season in 2011. Young quarterback Jake Locker has struggled in his first full season as a NFL starter and their running game has been nonexistent. Contrarily, the Vikings have improved significantly in 2012 and are developing into a good young side. Sophomore quarterback Christian Ponder has probably been the second best performed quarterback of his draft class (behind Cam Newton) and he should be able to lead his side to victory over the Titans.
