NFL Schedule 2012
American Football, primarily the NFL (National Football League) is one of the most heavily wagered sports in the world. Every year the amount of money gambled on NFL games rises as the sport grows in popularity internationally. As Online Sportsbooks focus more attention on NFL betting, the range of betting markets available for the 2012 season will be far beyond anything that has been offered in the past.
In 2012, Online Gambling will be offering a wide range of useful statistics and information for NFL betting. The main component of this will be a NFL team vs team database. This database will contain a team vs team analysis for every game being played in the 2012 NFL season. At any stage in the season you can look for an upcoming match-up and have all the relevant information, statistics and history for that match-up immediately on your screen. The statistics will be useful and accessible for both experienced and beginner NFL bettors.
We hope that this database will help our readers have an extremely successful 2012 NFL season. The information that we provide will not just be relevant for points spread or money-line betting but also the many different prop bets online sportsbooks now offer for the NFL. Knowing the history of a particular match-up is extremely useful for handicapping the match. Therefore, we believe that this database will help you pick many winners throughout the 2012 NFL season.
The Team vs Team Database will include a number of statistics which are unique to Online Gambling. Standard statistics like: head to head record, points scored, points conceded and 2011 rankings will all be included. However we have complied our own statistics which will give you a head start on other NFL bettors. The database includes a team's record against another at particular stadiums. The Packers may have a superior head to head record against the Steelers but what is their record at Heinz Stadium? Our database will provide you with this information.
Another unique feature is our quarterbacks and coaches records. Some quarterbacks play better against particular teams and our database takes note of that. For instance, did you know that Peyton Manning is 17-2 against the Tennessee Titans? The same information is available for coaches so you can find out, for example, what Bill Belichick's record against the Miami Dolphins is. Another feature is the head to head record of quarterbacks. The contest between Drew Brees and Tom Brady will go a long way to deciding a Patriots-Saints game so knowing their record against one another is extremely important.
Having the relevant knowledge goes a long way to making a profit in Sports Betting. With our NFL Schedule 2012 we are giving you all the relevant knowledge you need to have a winning betting season.
NFL Super Bowl XLVII

This year’s Super Bowl is particularly intriguing as it is the first time that a pair of brothers will be coaching opposing teams. Jim and John Harbaugh will be desperate to lead their sides to victory and become the first head coach in their family to win a Super Bowl crown.

Super Bowl XLVII is a massive opportunity for Ravens star Joe Flacco to stamp himself as an elite NFL quarterback. Flacco has outplayed Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in the last two weeks and would join in pair in the upper echelon of NFL stars if he can lead his team to victory.
The San Francisco 49ers has an exceptional record in the NFL Super Bowl winning five games from five attempts. If the 49ers are successful next Sunday they will join the Pittsburgh Steelers as the only franchises in the NFL to have won six Super Bowls. San Francisco has a proud record of producing legendary quarterbacks and if he can lead his team to victory Colin Kaepernick will join NFL hall of famers Joe Montana and Steve Walsh as quarterbacks who have led the 49ers to Super Bowl victories.
Make sure you keep coming back to Online Gambling in the lead-up to game to receive all the latest Super Bowl betting updates and Super Bowl betting tips.
NFL Schedule 2012 - List of Weeks
Select a week of the 2012 NFL Season to view our NFL game previews for that week:
NFL Schedule - Week 1
The opening day of regular season matches is the most anticipated day on the NFL calendar. Fans get to see their players on the field for the first time in eight months and get a close look at off-season recruits as well as rookies. The season can't be won in the opening week but it can be lost. In 2008, Tom Brady suffered a torn ACL that ended the Patriots season barely after it started. NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants clash in the opening game of the season on Thursday night. On Sunday, NFC heavyweights the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers face off in an anticipated matchup while Peyton Manning makes his first appearance for the Denver Broncos when they meet the Philadelphia Eagles.
NFL Schedule - Week 2
The real season starts in week 2. Teams can no longer use rustiness or lack of match practice as an excuse and teams are generally in better shape after their week 1 match. Teams under pressure to perform in 2012, like the New York Jets and San Diego Chargers, will be desperate to win at least one of their first two matches to avoid the pressure being turned up early in the season. On Thursday, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers face off in another chapter of the most established rivalry in the NFL. The Battle of Ohio, between the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, headlines the action on Sunday while, on Monday night, the Denver Broncos face the Atlanta Falcons in a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIII.
NFL Schedule - Week 3
For teams that started the season with two losses week 3 is the most important round of the season. Since 1990, only three teams have started their season 0-3 and made the playoffs. The last team that achieved this was the Buffalo Bills in 1998. Therefore, it is vital that teams who have started the season poorly snap their losing streak this week or their season is just about over already. Week 3 is headlined by a 2011 AFC Conference Championship Game rematch, with the Baltimore Ravens looking to get revenge over the New England Patriots for their heartbreaking three point loss last season.
NFL Schedule - Week 4
The byes start in week 4 of the 2012 NFL season with the Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers getting the week off. The bye can be extremely important in the NFL season as it gives players a chance to recover from any niggling injuries as well as giving coaches an opportunity to evaluate their game plan for the remainder of the season. Week four is filled with divisional clashes. NFC East rivals the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles face off while the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos renew hostilities. The game of the week though is the Saints taking on the Packers, a game that is likely to be a shoot-out between two of the best quarterbacks in the NFL; Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees.
NFL Schedule - Week 5
Week 5 is moving week in the NFL. There has been a month of football and who are the good teams and who are the bad teams, in 2012, is starting to become clear. Teams ideally would like to be placed towards the top of their division as it is difficult to recover from a poor opening month of the season in the NFL. The highlight of week 5 is the match-up between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. While Manning was at the Colts, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have developed one of the best quarterback rivalries in NFL history. They will face off for the first time with Manning in a Broncos uniform.
NFL Schedule - Week 6
Week 6 of the NFL season is highlighted by a rematch of the 2011 NFC Conference Championship with the New York Giants facing the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. The Conference Championship was an excellent game and the rematch should be just as good. Divisional rivals, the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers, face off in Monday night football in a game that may decide who wins the AFC West.
NFL Schedule - Week 7
There are only thirteen games in Week 7 as the: Falcons, Broncos, Chargers, Dolphins, Eagles and Chiefs all have a bye. Week 7 is headlined by the Baltimore Ravens facing the Houston Texans. The sides met in last year's playoffs, in what was a terrific game, with the Ravens narrowly winning to end the Texans season. This week is filled with divisional match-ups as the Redskins battle the Giants; the Saints face the Buccaneers; the Steelers travel to Cincinnati to play the Bengals while NFC North rivals the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions do battle in Monday Night football.
NFL Schedule - Week 8
The NFL travels overseas in Week 8 as the St. Louis Rams 'host' the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The NFL International Series began in 2007 and this will be the sixth regular season NFL game played in the United Kingdom. The Rams will play home games at Wembley again in 2013 and 2014. The New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys will play for the second time this season in a match that should have important consequences for the battle for the NFC East title. The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets as well as the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs also face off in divisional clashes.
NFL Schedule - Week 9
Week 9 of the 2012 NFL season crosses over with Halloween. NFL franchises really getting into the spirit of the holiday. Cheerleaders dress up in different costumes and most franchises will give away candy at their home games. In terms of on field action the week is highlighted by the Pittsburgh Steelers travelling to New York to play the Giants. The Giants and Steelers have been two of the most successful NFL franchises, in the last five years, and face off for the first time since 2008. The Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns also meet in a game that is always a passionate affair.
NFL Schedule - Week 10
Injuries really start to take a toll on players in week 10. Last year the NFL was hit by a wave of injuries around this time with star running backs Adrian Petersen, Matt Forte and Darren McFadden all succumbing to injuries. Keeping your starting team health is vital in the NFL as too many injuries can end a team's playoff chances as we saw with the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers last season. NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, will clash in the pick of the weekend's matches. The other blockbuster match of the weekend sees the Atlanta Falcons take on the New Orleans Saints. This rivalry has decided the NFC South, in recent years, and will likely do the same in 2012.
NFL Schedule - Week 11
In the last decade the most celebrated rivalry in the NFL has been between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots. The sides have met in many memorable games, including the 2009 AFC Championship Game that is considered one of the best matches in NFL history. The rivalry will turn over a new leaf as the sides meet for the first time, in over a decade, without Peyton Manning playing quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens also meet in a game that could decide the winner of the AFC North. Last year Steelers Coach, Mike Tomlin, declared this the 'greatest rivalry' in the NFL and those who have witnessed their recent hard fought games would not argue.
NFL Schedule - Week 12
NFL games are a Thanksgiving tradition. Families gathering around to: eat food, catch up and watch some quality football. This year the NFL is serving up some excellent games on Thanksgiving Day. AFC East rivals, the New England Patriots and New York Jets, will clash in the next chapter of their intense rivalry. However, the main event for the day is a clash between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys, a rivalry which was named by Sports Illustrated as the greatest in NFL history. Thanksgiving day is rounded out by two 2011 playoff teams, the Houston Texans and Detroit Lions, facing off in what could possibly be a Super Bowl preview.
NFL Schedule - Week 13
By Week 13 a number of NFL franchises will be out of playoffs contention. These sides will likely go through a rebuilding process and will play the rest of the season with one eye looking towards the 2013 NFL draft. Two sides that should still be in playoffs contention are the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers who clash for the second times in three weeks. The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans also hope to still be playoffs contenders, at this stage of the season, and will meet in a game that could decide the AFC South.
NFL Schedule - Week 14
Week 14 is rivalry week in the NFL with no less than six divisional rivals clashing. At this stage of the season the battle for divisional titles is really heating up so winning matches against divisional rivals is an absolute must. Clashes between: the Broncos and Raiders; Falcons and Panthers; Titans and Colts; Cardinals and Seahawks; Bear and Vikings and Lions and Packers could decide who makes the playoffs and who misses out. Even teams who are out of playoff contention love scoring a win over their divisional rivals so every team still has something to play for.
NFL Schedule - Week 15
As the regular season reaches its climax some teams, who have already qualified for the playoffs, may think about resting players. Last season, the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots and Houston Texans have all qualified for the playoffs by Week 15 and had the option to rest some players to have them fit and healthy for the playoffs. The best matches for Week 15 are clashes between AFC and NFC teams that could be Super Bowl previews. The Pittsburgh Steelers will play Dallas at Cowboys Stadium while the San Francisco 49ers will play the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
NFL Schedule - Week 16
Fantasy Football is becoming an increasingly popular part of the NFL. Week 16 is the Championship Game for the majority of fantasy football leagues so team owners will be hoping for big games from those considered fantasy football stars. Players like: Arian Foster, Ray Rice, Calvin Johnson, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady may feel just a little bit extra pressure as they carry the hopes of fantasy football players around the world. The best real football action, in week 16, is likely to be at Cowboys Stadium when the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys face off, or at M&T Bank Stadium when the Giants play the Baltimore Ravens.
NFL Schedule - Week 17
Week 17 is the final week of the NFL regular season. Every game is a divisional clash and most games are likely to have serious playoff consequences. In 2011, nine of the twelve playoff places were decided by games in the final round of the regular season. Every match is important in Week 17 but clashes between the Eagles and Giants; Chiefs and Broncos; Raiders and Chargers; Cardinals and 49ers as well as Panthers and Saints are all likely to decide playoff qualifiers.
