WSOP prop bet fun
June 8, 2007
Bodog is offering some interesting prop bets for this year's World Series of Poker.
You can bet on anything from which pair of players will have the most cashes to who will last the longest in the main event out of The Unambomber, the Magician and the wife of Chucky.
We like Joe Hachem to outlast the field of fellow ex-champions.
He's listed as 2nd favorite at 4/1, and we agree with the handicappers on this one. He's a big field master, having the patience to pick his spots and guard his chips fiercely.
On the back of his recent WPT win, Juan Carlos Mortenson is the favorite of this group at 3/1. Doyle Brunson and Jesus Ferguson are close at 5/1 and last year's champ, Jamie Gold is an outsider at 8/1.
Another intersting bet is the matchup between Mike the Mouth from Full Tilt Poker and Greg Raymer from PokerStars. They both traditionally do very well in the main event, and this is a tough one to call. Bodog agrees that it's tough with the players both at -120.
The 'families' bet is an interesting one. The Brunsons, Harmans, Greensteins, Lederers & Shulmans are all listed with Barry Greenstein and his son Joe Sebok the deserved favorites at 3/2.
You can view all the possible bets for yourself at Bodog. Just click the 'Other Sports' link to see the poker markets.
And if you have a Bodog account, you can also have a go at their main event satellites. There's still time to qualify for the main event which starts on July 6.
