Baccarat Banque

The third and final variation of Baccarat is known as Baccarat En Banque, or simply Baccarat Banque at online casinos. Unlike Chemin de Fer, it is a much more competitive form of the game, and forces players to take risks if they want to earn their turn to be the banker.

One of the major differences between Baccarat Banque and Chemin de Fer is the fact that players must take the position from the current banker if they want to succeed. Whereas in Chemin de Fer players may call "banco" in an attempt to bust the banker out, in Baccarat Banque you must cover the banker's bet, call banco, and win. In this way, not everyone has a chance to become the banker, making the game that much more competitive and ultimately exciting.

Another feature that makes Baccarat Banque stand out from both Chemin de Fer and Punto Banco is the difference in odds. Unlike the other two variations where six or eight decks can be used, in Baccarat Banque there are only three decks of cards in the shoe. This drastically increases the edge for the banker, and therefore the odds are subsequently altered.

When playing at an online casino, you may find that there are two different ways Baccarat Banque can be played. At most venues, the casino takes the role of the banker permanently, only allowing players the chance to play one hand. However, you may come across other online casinos that encourage multiplayer action, and as a result the potential to become the banker.
