Fulham v EvertonThe World Cup qualifiers are all over, and now it’s time to get down to some serious league business. With international duty out of the way for a few months, the English Premier League is back in full swing this weekend.

The competition is as tight as ever, with table shifting dramatically each and every week. There are some incredible matches on the cards for week 13, so let’s take a look at some of the best of them. BetUS has posted odds.

Liverpool: -110
Draw: +225
Manchester City: +300

Liverpool vs. Manchester City: With their European dreams all but shattered, Liverpool must now concentrate on the task at hand. They have one of the poorest forms in the league at the moment, taking only seven points from their last six matches. While a home ground advantage over City should work in their favor, you only have to look back at their previous match against Birmingham to see how lacklustre their defence can become.

Frustrated is the only word that you could use to describe Mark Hughes at the moment. His team may not have lost any of their past six games, but they have only taken one win from them as well. With a five-draw streak weighing them down, it will be a tough ask for them to take all three points against Liverpool. However, they have already shown this season that they are resilient when under pressure; expect a high scoring affair.

Hull City: +185
Draw: +225
West Ham United: +145

Hull City vs. West Ham United: It’s hard to believe that even with a home ground advantage, and sitting two places above the Hammers on the ladder, Hull City are still not favorites to win this match. Their form has been unpredictable of late, granted, but West Ham’s has been even worse. Hull are coming off the back of a brilliant win over Stoke City, and will be fired up to please the fans at the KC once again on Saturday.

Gianfranco Zola’s club has fallen on hard times. Financially, the team is in dire need of cash flow, and on the pitch they have failed to get the job done. With only a single win under the belts since match day one, the Hammers need to pull something special out of the bag this weekend. Relying on Carlton Cole for goals seems to be their only option at the moment, and if he doesn’t perform well, you can almost expect that West Ham won’t be walking away with anything at Hull.

Manchester United: -250
Draw: +350
Everton: +675

Manchester United vs. Everton: United have seen themselves slip to third on the ladder – a position they are none too familiar with. While Chelsea may be five points ahead, you can never discount the Red Devils to come back and challenge for the title; they’ve done so before countless times. However, without the two goal scoring machines of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, they are struggling to find players to fill the gaps. Still, an Everton outfit that has only recently been finding its form shouldn’t be a problem for United.

With their captain out for several weeks, and several strikers not performing, Everton are on a rocky path down the bottom of the ladder. While they may have qualified for the Europa League, their form throughout both competitions has been inconsistent, to say the least. Still, they have proven in past seasons that they are capable of rolling with the big dogs, so if they can get an early lead on United and stick to their guns, they may just provide an upset.

Stoke City: +110
Draw: +225
Portsmouth: +250

Stoke City vs. Portsmouth: Up until their last game, Stoke City were travelling incredibly well for a club that was only promoted to the EPL last season. That said, they are still sitting in the top half of the table, and are up against the worst performing team in the league. Their upset at Hull would have put a dent in their pride, but they now face Portsmouth, who have yet to prove themselves worthy of competing in the Premier League.

Pompey have had a horrendous season so far. With only two wins from twelve matches, including nine losses and a draw, they are the bookies’ favorite for relegation. Still, they did manage to show that they have the ability to win in their 4-0 drubbing of Wigan Athletic. Stoke may have stumbled at Hull, but they are one of the more consistent clubs in England. If Pompey are to come away with anything, they will need to score goals, and a lot of them.
